LG Chocolate Touch VX-8575 Phone probably the best phone ever
by Sana

Some of people never try LG Chocolate Touch VX-8575 Phone. This happen because they never knew what is best features in the phone.
Only the owner of the phone know the truth of LG Chocolate Touch VX-8575. I’m very hard to please, and I also have owned two other LG music phones but didn’t liked either of them. This phone is unique: it’s the best phone I’ve ever owned.
It has every feature I need in a phone, in a beautiful package that is very user-friendly.
Simple to use to master and simple to operate. The touch screen is logical and is easy to navigate without ever looking at the manual. I simply wish I bought it thru Amazon and not VZW website. I’d have saved $$$. One drawback: This doesn’t appear to be compatible with my Mac. I cannot download songs from my iTunes to the phone. But I’ve my iPod for music, and really didn’t need the phone to play music.
- Great battery life
- Great quality of sound
- Good speakerphone
- A 3.5mm audio jack
- FM radio
- Music player that has a well-designed user interface
- Great photo and video viewer
- USB data cable integrated (!)
- The ability to plug-and-sync automatically, even with non-Rhapsody music players(!) such as Windows Media Player or MediaMonkey (which supports podcasts

Huawei Ideos S7 Android Tablet and Ideos X3 Smartphone Leaked
by Sana

Huawei, the company which launched the cheapest Android phone – the Huawei Ideos – in 2010 has been trying to make its presence felt on the Android scene.
So far, it has been completely overshadowed by the likes of HTC, Samsung and Motorola. Even the announcements of the Huawei Ideos X5 and the Ideos X6 failed to make any major impact.
Now, images of an Android tablet and a new Android smartphone by Huawei have been leaked on its official Flickr account, just a week before MWC.
The Huawei Ideos S7 Slim is an Android tablet which has a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen display. From the images, it seems to have a front facing camera and keys for Home, Menu and Back. We don’t have any other details yet. We can expect it to run Android 2.2 Froyo at launch, with a Android 3.0 Honeycomb upgrade coming later. It will likely be priced much lower than the current crop of Android tablets.

The other leaked device is the Huawei Ideos X3 Android smartphone. It will be a budget phone and will likely have a 3.2 – 3.5 inch display. Both these devices will be launched at the Mobile World Congress in a week.
Samsung Claims 10 Million Galaxy S Phones Sold
by Sana

Samsung Electronics said that Galaxy S, the company's showpiece Android-based smartphone, has crossed the 10 million-sold threshold seven months after it launched. The milestone puts Samsung among the vanguard manufacturers backing Google's white-hot Android platform, which is itself now the No 2 mobile OS in the world behind Symbian, according to analysts.

According to Samsung, 4 million Galaxy S units have been sold in North America, with 2.5 million sold in Europe and 2 million sold in Asia.
"The Galaxy S is the result of our 22-year heritage in the mobile industry," said JK Shin, President and Head, Mobile Communications Business, Samsung Electronics, in a statement. "It is the realization of our concept of 'the Smart Life'— we wanted to make users' lives more convenient, more exciting and more integrated. Today's milestone shows that we have succeeded: 10 million Galaxy S users around the world are living the Smart Life."
Shin added that Samsung is selling more than 1.4 million Galaxy S devices per month.
Galaxy S was first introduced by Samsung at CTIA Las Vegas in March 2010, and strong word-of-mouth, solid reviews and customer embrace of Android devices propelled it to a spot among the coolest smartphones of 2010.
Galaxy S was released on all four of the major U.S. carriers last year, under different names, such as Sprint's Epic 4G and Verizon's Fascinate. Though each version has slightly different features, each includes a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 1Ghz processor, 5MP camera, 2GB of storage and support for Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.
Samsung's strength with the Android platform should come into sharper focus in 2011, as its Samsung Galaxy Tab—an Android-based rival to Apple's mighty iPad—looks to gain traction among tablet customers. Samsung has not released initial sales figures for the Galaxy Tab, which launched in November.
Samsung hit a pretty big milestone, announcing that it has sold 10 million Android OS Galaxy S smartphones since its launch in June 2010. That equals to about one device sold every two seconds.
According to Samsung, North America leads the Galaxy S sales chart with 4 million sales, followed by Europe at 2.5 million and Asia with 2 million sales.
"The Galaxy S is the result of our 22 year heritage in the mobile industry. It is the realization of our concept of 'the Smart Life' - we wanted to makes users' lives more convenient, more exciting, and more integrated", said JK Shin, President and Head of Mobile Communications Business at Samsung. Today's milestone shows that we have succeeded: 10 million Galaxy S users around the world are living the Smart Life."
Mobile Phones Emit Radiation which is Unsafe
by Sana
Radiation released from mobile phones and towers can adversely affect your health as it involves serious health risks like loss of memory, lack of concentration, disturbance in the digestive system, sleep disturbances etc. reports an inter-ministerial committee. To study the hazards posed by mobile phones, the 8-member committee was formed by the Ministry of Communications and IT which also attributes that the disappearance of butterflies, bees, insects and sparrows from big cities is the result of mobile phone-related radiation. Therefore, it has said that the mobile towers should not be installed near high density residential areas, schools, playgrounds and hospitals.

Radiation from mobile phones and towers poses serious health risks, including loss of memory, lack of concentration, disturbance in the digestive system and sleep disturbances, according to an inter-ministerial committee formed by the ministry of communications and information technology to study the hazards posed by mobile phones.
The committee has also attributed the disappearance of butterflies, bees, insects and sparrows vanishing from big cities to mobile phone-related radiation.
The eight-member committee, which included representatives from the health ministry, department of biotechnology and member secretary, DoT, has recommended that mobile phones not adhering to standard levels of specific absorption rate (SAR) - a measure of the amount of radiofrequency energy absorbed by the body while using a phone -- should be barred.
It has said mobile towers should not be installed near high density residential areas, schools, playgrounds and hospitals. "The localized SAR value as per the Indian guidelines standard is 2 watt per kg, averaged over a six minute period and using a 10 gram average mass. With higher SAR values of mobile handsets the public could potentially receive much higher radiofrequency exposure. We have recommended that SAR levels to be lowered down to 1.6 watt/kg, as prescribed by the Federal Communication Commission of US," said a member.
Dr R S Sharma, ICMR scientist who represented the health ministry on the committee, said the findings are based on case studies presented by different experts. He added that the recommendations would be used to formulate a national policy and guidelines on electromagnetic frequency (EMF) radiation for telecom towers.

"In the case of a person using a cellphone, most of the heating occurs on the surface of the head, causing its temperature to increase by a fraction of a degree. The brain blood flow is capable of disposing this excess by increasing the local blood flow and increasing body temperature," states the report. It says that the non-thermal effects of cellphone use — attributed to the induced electromagnetic effects inside the body's biological cells — are more harmful.
"People who are chronically exposed to low-level wireless antenna emissions and users of mobile handsets have reported feeling several unspecific symptoms during and after its use, ranging from burning and tingling sensation in the skin of the head, fatigue, sleep disturbances, dizziness, lack of concentration, ringing in the ears, reaction time, loss of memory, headache, disturbance in digestive system and heart palpitation," the report says.
The committee was chaired by Ram Kumar, advisor (technology), department of telecommunications, and had Arvind Duggal from the department of biotechnology and R N Jindal from the environment ministry among its other members.
Member scientist, ICMR R S Sharma said that compared to Europeans, Indian cellphone users are more at risk for adverse affect of radiation due the country's hot tropical climate, low body mass index, and low fat content. "We have recommended amendment in the Indian Telegraph Act 1885 and rules so that only mobile handsets satisfying radiation standards should be permitted in the country," he said.

The report suggests that children, adolescents and pregnant women should avoid excessive use of cellphones. People in general should use hands-free technologies to minimize the contact of the head with cell phone. "People having active medical implants should keep their cellphone at least 30 cm away from the implant," it adds.
Said Girish Kumar, professor in the department of electrical engineering at IIT Bombay, whose research on hazards of cellphone use was taken as a reference for the committee decision, "There is a 400% increase in the risk of brain cancer among teenagers using cell phones for long periods. The younger the child, the deeper is the penetration of electromagnetic radiation as children`s skulls are thinner.

Another government-funded study on radiation from mobile phones and towers at the Jawaharlal Nehru University ( JNU) found that the exposure to radiation from mobile towers and mobile phones could have an adverse impact on male fertility and pose health hazards by depleting the defence mechanism of cells.
